Irene Aycinena, Sustainability Assurance Manager, participated in the "Verifying what matters" Forum sharing about our actions in palm oil compliance and traceability systems. This Conference was held in Miami from May 30 to 31 and brought together key players in the palm oil industry in Latin America and North America. It focused on the topic "From emerging to prosperous: the role of the Americas as leaders in sustainable palm oil." This event promotes the sustainability of the sector. The conference takes place at an auspicious time for the Americas, as it has shown important results in terms of certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO) production and CSPO consumption. In 2022, 35% of Latin America's total palm oil production received RSPO certification, positioning it as the leading region in global sustainability in production. Last year, Grupo HAME received certification for our REPSA, Atlántida and El Triunfo operations. Likewise, the renewal of Olmeca and Santa Rosa Palmistería, who already had certification since 2019 and 2020 respectively.
