Grupo HAME recognized for its social management and environmental performance

During the XVI Edition of the "Recognition of Business Sustainability", carried out by the Guatemalan American Chamber of Commerce -AmCham-, Grupo HAME was awarded the award in the social category for its Guate es tu Tierra ¡Quédate! Program. Likewise, with the honorable mention in the environment category. This Recognition rewards companies for the impact they generate in Guatemalan society through their Corporate Social Responsibility programs. Guate es tu Tierra ¡Quédate! is Grupo HAME's social platform that focuses on working with women and young people, making them protagonists of their own development, which allows them to improve living conditions for themselves and their families. As part of the program, health and nutrition issues, good agricultural practices are addressed, and technical capacities are strengthened so that they can generate their own ventures or be part of the labor market; Likewise, the empowerment and active participation of young people in their locality is promoted. The program has coverage in Sayaxché, Petén, Malacatán and Ayutla, San Marcos, Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango and Tiquisate, Escuintla.
