HAME Group, through its company REPSA, organized a celebration on the occasion of International Women's Day, aimed at the ladies of the different communities in the area of influence of our company. This activity was carried out at the facilities of the Agro-Environmental Field School (ECA). During the celebration, talks were given on women's rights and the promotion of the culture of denunciation. As part of the activity and with the objective of promoting women's entrepreneurship and boosting the economy at the community level, a market of vegetables and other artisanal products was held where the ladies were able to sell the crops from their gardens. During the activity, representatives from the Municipal Women's Directorate, the Women's Prosecutor's Office of the Public Ministry, the Indigenous Women's Ombudsman's Office, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) and the Office Municipal Comprehensive Community Development (OMDIC). Doña Candelaria Chub from Caserío el Jordán shared her experience "Thank God for allowing us to be here with you, as organized women of the El Jordán community, thanks to Sagrada Tierra who trained us to learn how to make hammocks and backpacks like the one I am carrying , so in this way we get a little money to help the economy of our home, and with that we are not dependent on our husband arriving with his salary, we have gardens where we grow everything to eat, and that is a great It helps, so I encourage you to do the same and take advantage of every opportunity to learn because how does it help us? Concepción Zuleta from El Tucán shared with us: "I came to participate in this activity, and taking advantage of it I am exposing my product to all the fellow women who came, I make these aprons and I have them for Q10.00 each, in this way I contribute to my home. I learned all this right here at ECA and INTECAP, thanks to the help of the Municipal Women's Office and the company REPSA, without them we would not know what now allows us to look for sources of income, and not only in these topics they have trained us here, they have taught us how to make a garden in our house, training in baking, making cheeses and creams that helps us a lot in our home."
